SCREENWRITING

MODULE 1 - SCREENWRITING

The two week Screenwriting summer program introduces students to the creative writing process and to the writing of a short film (3 minutes in length).

Lectures and classes cover theoretical knowledge, including storytelling and narrative structure, visual grammar, and the English-language screenwriting format. This is combined with students writing their own scripts during workshop sessions and during their free time.

JUNE 18th to 29th (2 WEEKS - 48 hours of class)
THE SCREENWRITING MODULE INCLUDES LECTURES AND PRACTICAL WORKSHOPS

ALL CLASSES TAKE PLACE FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON TO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

WEEK 1 :

3 Screenwriting Lecture classes (3 hours each – 9 hours total)
3 Screenwriting Workshops (3 hours each – 9 hours total)
1 Cinematography Lecture class (3 hours)
1 Directing Lecture class (3 hours)

WEEK 2 :

2 Screenwriting Lecture classes (3 hours each – 6 hours total)
3 Screenwriting Workshops (3 hours each – 9 hours total)
1 Film Production for Screenwriters Lecture class (3 hours)
1 History of Cinema Lecture class (3 hours)
Final Table Reading of Scripts and Workshop (3 hours)
